Hosted at Song Saa Private Island, this ten-day pilot brings together visionary chefs, Cambodian culinary collaborators, fishers, farmers, and conservation teams to work within a living island system — where marine health, seasonality, livelihoods, and hospitality are inseparable.
Rather than a traditional chef residency, the Lab is designed as a hands-on experimentation platform. Each chef develops a Living Contribution — a regenerative practice that remains embedded in Song Saa’s operations long after the residency ends, from low-impact sourcing and zero-waste preservation to staff training and seasonal menu frameworks.
The residency culminates on 26 June with The Living Systems Dinner — a collaborative dining experience that shares not only flavours, but insights, stories, and the real systems behind the food. Guests are invited to experience a deeper relationship with place — and to leave changed, not just impressed.

There will also be plenty of time to enjoy our wild wellbeing offering, take part in daily fitness sessions and connect with the inspiring ecosystem we call home – as well as to relax beside your private plunge pool.
